Construction

  • The leg protection features 24 individual, firmly integrated cooling packs that maintain their flexible consistency when cooled, allowing the leg protection to fit optimally to the leg and ensure good surface contact and associated cooling effect
  • Cooling packs are additionally padded and insulated on the outside for good, lasting temperature retention
  • Four elastic Velcro straps for easy and secure application and removal
  • Outer material made of durable 420 denier polyester
  • Individually packed in a transport bag

Application

  • Pre-cool the leg protection completely in the freezer; an internal temperature of around -6°C is usually reached
  • Apply the leg protection like usual Leg Protection so that it neither slips nor presses
  • To achieve a deep effect, cool for about 20 minutes per application; application can be repeated as needed
  • Only leave the leg protection on the leg during the cooling application; do not leave the horse unattended
  • Together with two household cooling packs, the leg protection maintains its cooling temperature for up to 4 hours in a standard cooler bag, with a temperature increase of only about 1-2°C per hour
  • In a pre-cooled cooler box connected in a car, truck, or stable, the cooling leg protection with two additional pre-cooled household cooling packs can maintain its cooling temperature much longer without temperature increase
