Founded in 2018, together with kavalio Helping Hearts we will do good! To make a contribution exactly where it is urgently needed. To give something to those who can use it for the well-being of the animal. That is the vision behind kavalio Helping Hearts. With your order, you support our project and help where help is needed. Become a Helping Heart too!

You know where urgent help is needed? Write to us explaining why your club, organization, or stable should be supported by us.

This year, due to the war situation in Ukraine, we want to support a relief organization that provides urgent help to the affected people.

The German Red Cross is currently providing essential aid measures for the population in Ukraine and those affected by displacement. In many places, all access to basic services and necessary infrastructure has been destroyed. All donations help protect lives and assist and support people in need. We also want to help and are therefore donating this year in support of humanitarian aid.

On the outer edge of the Hildesheim district in Freden lies LITTLE-Q-RANCH e.V., with its 25,000m², framed by forests and meadows. In 2007, the current owners bought the former farmstead and moved there with three horses, two dogs, and two cats. Over the years, more animals were added – animals that were otherwise destined for slaughter, taken away by the veterinary office due to poor conditions, or simply unwanted.

The farm is mostly home to so-called livestock such as sheep, goats, pigs, ducks, geese, chickens, quails, and rabbits. But dogs, cats, and horses have also found their forever home on the farm.

The guiding principle is: “Humans sometimes believe they have been raised to be owners, to be rulers. That is a mistake. They are only a part of the whole. Their task is that of a guardian, a steward, not an exploiter. Humans have responsibility, not power.” (Onondaga) The residents of the ranch live by this philosophy and want to pass it on to their environment.

Numerous hardships have shaped the history of the Cologne Shelter for Horses, Animal Protection, and Environment e.V. Founded in 1988, the association has experienced many ups and downs, which the volunteers have always managed to overcome. Following the motto "A rescued animal doesn't change the world, but the whole world changes for that animal," hundreds of foals, ponies, and horses have already been saved from slaughter and successfully rehomed through the Cologne Horse Shelter. In addition to rescuing horses in emergency situations, the shelter also offers an animal food bank, a project that enables seniors in financial distress to regularly pick up free food for their pets.

Various schools, kindergartens, and facilities for people with disabilities have been visiting the Cologne Shelter regularly for years. They receive a detailed tour of the farm and can actively participate in farm life depending on the group size and abilities.

We are very happy that we have been able to help this non-profit organization over the past two years. Klepperstall e.V. is an animal shelter for horses in the Euskirchen district, whose philosophy is that every horse has the right to the most species-appropriate care and a good life possible. The association is entirely funded by donations and is kept alive by active, voluntary helpers. The concept, the implementation, and above all the selfless love for the horse have absolutely convinced us.
