kavalio Helping Hearts
Launched in 2018, with kavalio Helping Hearts we will do good together! To make a contribution exactly where it is urgently needed. To give something to those who can use it for the well-being of the animal. That is the vision behind kavalio Helping Hearts. For every order over 99 euros, kavalio donates 25 cents to an organization that will accompany us for one year. The distribution of the collected donations takes place retrospectively every June. Become a Helping Heart too!
Our partner this year: KLEPPERSTALL E.V.
The non-profit organization Klepperstall e.V. is a horse shelter in the Euskirchen district. The association is entirely funded by donations and kept alive by active volunteers. The association’s grounds are located in Zülpich-Langendorf. The association was founded in 2015 by horse lovers. Today, the sanctuary houses former school horses, competition horses, financial emergencies from poor conditions, healthy and sick, old and young animals that have found a new home here. The goal and highest priority of the association is the protection of horses.
A lot of work had to be invested to achieve this goal. The sanctuary was purchased in 2013 as a farm.
The daily work involves many tasks. Activities include handling purchases (rescue and taking over horses), care and regular training with the animals, character assessment through groundwork and riding training, as well as placement in a new home (including protection contract). If a horse cannot be rehomed, it receives lifelong residence rights on the Klepperstall e.V. grounds!
Klepperstall has a 1500 sqm exercise barn, a 700 sqm open stable, and over 25,000 sqm of pasture. The creation of various feeding and watering spots encourages the horses to move, allowing them to follow their natural desire for exercise. Different ground surfaces such as sand, gravel, concrete, and straw stimulate the natural hoof mechanism and thus the horses’ metabolism, supporting the healing and therapy of various illnesses.
Natural living conditions & a good life are the top priority!
The philosophy is that every horse has the right to as natural a living environment as possible and a good life. Through regular renovation and expansion measures, the association aims to set a high standard in horse protection.
This is only possible because Klepperstall e.V. employs no staff and all tasks are carried out by volunteers.
The "kavalio Helping Hearts" project has been a heartfelt initiative for us from the very beginning. Everyone on the team fully supports the project and is already looking forward to the first handover of the collected funds.
