Helite Airbag Vest - Find the right Size

We all know the saying: "If you haven't fallen off a horse yet, you're not a good rider," but to be well protected in case of a fall, there are now airbag vests for riding. The airbag deploys within moments and can thus reduce the severity of injuries. The brand Helite is considered a pioneer in the field of airbag safety vests for riders and brings a lot of experience from various sports. That’s why buying a Helite airbag vest is a highly recommended investment in your safety. To ensure the airbag vest offers full protection, it’s important that it fits properly. We all know how tedious measuring can be—and that sometimes the result isn’t quite accurate. To avoid this problem, here you’ll find a simple overview of how to take your Measurements correctly for the airbag vest.

How to measure correctly – without stress

It’s best to find someone to help you with measuring, as it can otherwise be really tricky to measure the exact spots.

First, make sure you’re wearing a T-shirt or a thin sweater. A Hoodie, for example, could distort the results.

Chest circumference (B)

Once you’ve determined your Height, you can start with the chest circumference. For this, place the measuring tape horizontally just below the armpits. As a little tip, you can position the tape a bit higher on your back so that the measurement at the front matches the full chest.

Waist circumference (C)

The waist circumference is measured at the narrowest part of the upper body, which is usually just above the belly button. Place the measuring tape horizontally around your body at this height, making sure it runs parallel to the floor.

Hip circumference/Pelvic circumference (D)

To measure your hip or pelvic circumference, stand up straight with your feet close together. Hold the measuring tape horizontally just above the hip bone.

Back length (E)

For the back length, tilt your head slightly forward and find the vertebra that sticks out the most. Start measuring from this point straight down along the center of your back to the bottom edge of your waist. This is how you measure your back length.

Arm length (F)

To measure your arm length, measure from the highest point of your shoulder bone, over the elbow, down to the middle of your wrist.
