At first glance, the Saddle Pads may look similar, but all the models presented here from the brands EQUESTRIAN STOCKHOLM, EQUITO, PS OF SWEDEN, and LEMIEUX each have a unique concept and design. Starting with the Size, through the Material and other special features that make them stand out. Let’s take a closer look :-)
EQUESTRIAN STOCKHOLM
First up is the brand EQUESTRIAN STOCKHOLM from Sweden, founded in 2015, which focuses on sustainable production.
The classic dressage Saddle Pad from ESSTOCKHOLM is made from a shiny, dirt-repellent Material quilted with the typical ES pattern. The Saddle Pad appears brighter in sunlight and darker indoors due to the shiny Material. The underside is breathable and stays especially dry thanks to the Super Quick Dry function. It also features two Velcro straps on each Side for saddle attachment to prevent slipping. Another highlight is the silver or gold brand emblems attached on both Sides, as well as the elegant cords matching the Saddle Pad’s color.
EQUITO
Next up is the Swedish manufacturer EQUITO, still considered a newcomer among Saddle Pad makers. We were very excited to welcome the brand as the first online shop in Germany.
The dressage Saddle Pad from EQUITO is made from a shiny, soft cotton fabric with an exclusive octagonal seam and a mesh underside for optimal comfort. It features a glitter trim and a metallic shiny emblem on the left Side, making it a real eye-catcher. In addition to the Velcro straps and anatomical fit, a slight wither cutout ensures an excellent fit.

The Swedish manufacturer PS OF SWEDEN, founded in July 2011, is known for its innovative ideas and designs. Besides various bridle models, which we already introduced in the last blog post, the PS Saddle Pads are especially popular with customers.
Besides the anatomical shape and the extra high cut at the wither, the shape-stable padding particularly distinguishes the PS OF SWEDEN dressage Saddle Pad. This prevents the saddle from slipping without the need for additional straps. The double piping, quilting with the typical PS OF SWEDEN crown, and the one-sided metallic brand emblem give the Saddle Pad a particularly noble and luxurious look. The Material is also made from an antibacterial and quick-drying fabric to absorb moisture and sweat.
LEMIEUX
Finally, we want to introduce you to a brand that is still relatively new in our online shop. The British brand LEMIEUX was founded in 2006 by Olympic rider Robert Lemieux and his wife Lisa and is now considered the fastest growing British brand in Europe.
The classic dressage Saddle Pad from LEMIEUX is anatomically shaped and features a premium cotton top in suede look, which is especially shape-stable and durable thanks to a firm seam. Another special feature is the PU leather girth protector, which prevents abrasion from the Girth. The high wither minimizes pressure and slipping of the Saddle Pad. The elastic D-ring loops are especially practical for quickly attaching the Saddle Pad and keeping it in place. The soft bamboo lining is also an innovative idea that, in addition to sweat regulation, is particularly comfortable and skin-friendly, minimizing friction. Lastly, instead of a single loop, the Saddle Pad has three inner loops for individual attachment of the girth straps. This provides the saddle with more stability and creates an optimal fit.
WASHING TIPS
All the Saddle Pads presented can be cleaned in the washing machine at a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius on a gentle cycle. They should not be spun and are best washed inside out in a laundry bag to protect the appliqués. Velcro fasteners should be closed beforehand, and after washing, the Saddle Pad should be reshaped and hung up to dry. They are not suitable for tumble drying, bleach, or fabric softeners.
